A circular walk of 19 km (12.7 miles) though the countryside around Hitchin. The best place to start the trail is in Hitchin town centre, which is 1,5km from Hitchin train station. Hitchin town centre has plenty of pubs and cafes for your start/finish of the walk. Along the route there are not many options. Approximately 9 km in there is a pub, The Wilbury, which could make a good stop for lunch. At around 11.5 km there is the Hitchin Garden Centre that has a cafe and customer toilets. The route is waymarked.
