Packing Lists

Below some lists I use when packing for a hiking trip. Even for a 1-day walk I am careful to pack some essentials to make sure I am prepared for the weather. None of these lists are fixed as it depends on the weather, the lenght of the walk, and the terrain of the walk what I will need exactly. Besides the packing lists, I will soon add a list with various foods I like to take with me on hikes.

1-Day Hikes
– Bank card, cash, travel card
– Phone, powerbank, camera
– Map, compass, handheld gps
– Head torch (extra batteries)
– Extra pair of socks
– Waterproofs
– Gloves, scarf, hat or sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
– Food
– Waterbottle or water bladder (filled)
– Knife
– Pen
– First aid kit
Overnight Walks with Camping
– Bank card, cash, travel card
– Phone, powerbank, camera
– Map, compass, handheld gps
– Head torch (extra batteries)
– Coffee, coffee filter, tea
– Sleeping shirt
– Hiking trousers or shorts
– T-shirt
– Longsleeve
– Jacket or windblocker
– Hiking boots or trainers
– Socks (1 extra pair)
– Underwear
– Warm jumper
– Waterproofs
– Gloves, scarf, hat or sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
– Food
– Waterbottle or water bladder (filled)
– Towel
– Toiletries
– Tent/bivvy bag, sleeping bag, sleeping mat
– Stove, pot (mug), spoon, knife, lighter
– Pen
– First aid kit
(- Book, notebook)
(- Sandals)
