Seven Sisters

This stunning 22 km cliff walk along the Seven Sisters starts at Seaford station and finishes at Eastbourne station. This walk is easy to reach from London as it is only a 1.5-hour train ride from London Victoria. The route is not waymarked, but easy to navigate as you follow the coastline almost the entire route.

From Seaford train station, make your way to the beach and turn left to follow a concrete path along the coast all the way to the end when you will climb the first hill on a track. Keep ahead on the track following the cliffs until you reach Cuckmere River.

As you cannot cross the river near the beach, follow the waymarks for the Vanguard Way inland, until you reach the Cuckmere Inn. Cross the Cuckmere river via the bridge and immediately after turn right to follow a footpath in the same direction you came from, now on the other side of the river.

Once you have returned to the beach you continue to climb the remaining of the Seven Sisters, eventually making your way to Beachy Head with the iconic lighthouse. Follow the waymarking signs for the South Downs Way into Eastbourne and follow the promenade towards the pier. From here make your way to the train station via Terminus Road.
